The 2013 Summit Sensations annual meeting was held at Lonesome Lake Hut on Saturday evening, Dec 7th. At a recent board meeting, we decided to go back to a White Mountains AMC hut, as we did in 2006 and 2007. All agreed that these were probably the best attended, and most enjoyable, annual meeting and reunions we’ve had in our 12 years.
Overall the meeting was fantastic, with great food and great company! Several trips were announced, including Mt. Sanford, Mt. Baker, Mt. Shuksan, and potentially Mt. Shasta. John Kottos regaled the group with a slideshow and stories from his April 2013 Everest Base Camp Trek. All in all, 2013 was quite a year and 2014 is looking to be the same, if not better.
