Land Navigation Workshop

1. There is NO Cost for this.
2. Please bring personal compass
3. This workshop can be geared to all skill levels and will focus on “pre-trip” map recon and planning.  Participants will become proficient at deriving map geographic coordinates (lat/long), determining angular directions (azimuths), converting Grid to Magnetic directions using G-M Angle conversions for a particular map sheet, and navigating using a compass!
4. I did not plan to use any technology other than just a compass, but we can discuss GPS and position locating devices:)

I think the idea about making this fun and stashing “prizes” at each target location is a great idea!!  We will have 6-8 Targets!!

We will offer lunch and some sort of early evening dinner for those who wish to stay:)
