A Glacier Travel Training Workshop was conducted on 18 and 19 April, 2015 at Ragged MT Resort in Danbury, NH. Twenty-eight club members and leaders participated in the two-day workshop. Participants were divided into three training levels and covered skills presented at a pace and complexity consistent with their experience level. Ragged MT was an excellent venue for the training, we had sole use of a patio with picnic tables, the terrain park and a relatively steep and long black diamond trail – all were in close proximity to the main base area. Comments on the workshop were unanimously positive. Since a majority of current club leaders were at the workshop, it afforded the opportunity of having a leader’s meeting following training on Saturday. There was also a brief Board of Director’s meeting immediately following, and leaders were invited to attend the board meeting as well. Thanks to Laura Alexander who hosted the meetings at her home in Elkins about 15 miles from Ragged MT Resort.
