Sherry’s mountaineering adventures began 11 years ago, after her first winter hike up to Zealand Hut for the Summit Sensations annual meeting, as a guest. From that first winter hike, her love of mountaineering exploded!
Sherry’s been an active participant on several mountaineering trips out West, and has hit the summits of Mt. Adams (twice), Mt. Baker (twice, one of which she co-lead), Mt. Rainier via the Emmons Glacier, Mt. St. Helen’s (twice), and Mt. Olympus. She’s also done trekking in The Tetons, and along the way hit the peak of Mt. Borah in Idaho.
Sherry also held the office of equipment manager and treasurer for the club. She has attended numerous training activities held by SSMC, including several annual glacier travel workshops. For enjoyment, outside of mountaineering, her passion is running!
Sherry lives in Holderness, NH with her husband, Scott. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Childhood Studies, has been teaching for 10 years, and is currently a 4th Grade teacher at Bridgewater-Hebron Village School in Bridgewater, NH.
